A casting call has gone out seeking various types to work on Season 4 of the historical-drama series The Gilded Age. The series follows Marian Brook, a young woman entering 1882 New York City’s rigid social scene who is drawn into daily conflicts surrounding the new money Russell family and her old money van Rhijn-Brook family. In December 2023, the series was renewed for a third season, which premiered on June 22, 2025. In July 2025, the series was renewed for a fourth season. The story is set in America during the Gilded Age, the millionaire titan boom of the 1880’s in New York City. The series stars Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Denee Benton, Simon Jones, Louisa Jacobson, Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Thomas Cocquerel, and Jack Gilpin.
Filming is taking place in and around the New York City, Albany and Troy, NY areas. The casting directors are seeking locals for paid extra work for scenes that will film in Troy, NY beginning in May and June 2026. This is a period-piece drama so there will be a required fitting prior to work dates, You must have open availability and flexibility.
At the present time the casting director is seeking the following:
- Black Elite Event Attendees
- Albany & Rensselaer County locals, Men and Women, Age 18+
- 1880s type people, all shapes and sizes, Men and Women, Age 18+
