A casting call has gone out seeking various talent to work as background and possible featured talent on the upcoming Amazon Studios feature film I’m Your Woman. Set to star is Rachel Brosnahan, the star of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s Amazon series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The period story follows a woman named Jean who forced by her husband’s crimes to go on the run with her child, only to see their lives get caught up with another couple in an unlikely partnership that teaches them more than just how to survive. Joining the cast are Marsha Stephanie Blake and Arinzé Kene.
Julia Hart (Miss Stevens, Fast Color) co-wrote the project with her husband, Oscar-nominated producer Jordan Horowitz, who is also producing through their Original Headquarters production company. Filming will take place in and around the Pittsburgh, PA area beginning the end of October. The casting director is seeking the following to work on the feature as paid background talent:
- AFRICAN-AMERICAN 70’s TYPES – Seeking African American Extras ages 18+ for a scene that takes place in the 1970s. It will film on Monday, November 25th in central Pittsburgh area. Everyone would be required to have a wardrobe fitting in Churchill sometime next week, if booked. Works 11/25. Please put “COFFEE SHOP” in the email subject line.
- FEMALE NURSE (Real RN if possible) -Needed for BOTH Tomorrow (11/14) and Friday (11/15). Both will be overnights. You should expect 12-14 hours starting sometime approximately after 5pm. Will film approximately a half hour outside of Downtown Pittsburgh so must have reliable transportation.

- REAL COUPLE WITH DOG – Seeking a real couple (18+) with a medium-sized dog that is well-behaved and not a barker. Dog must have current vaccinations. Paperwork will be required. Works Oct. 23rd. Please put “COUPLE WITH DOG” in the email subject line.
- BARGAIN STORE CUSTOMERS – Seeking Bargain store Customers, Employees – Ages 18+. All ethnicities. Blue-collar. Works Nov. 6th.
- DINER – Seeking Diner Customers, Wait Staff – Ages 18+. All ethnicities. Blue-collar. Works Nov. 5th.
- MAN WALKING DOG – Seeking Caucasian Male, 30s-50s. Medium-sized dog that is well-behaved and not a barker. Dog must have current vaccinations. Paperwork will be required. Works Oct. 30th.
- MOM – Seeking Caucasian Female, Age 20s/30s with two children ages 6-10 years of age. Works Oct. 24th.
- VEHICLES – If you own a vehicle that is 1960s/1970s,🚗 please let them know when you submit by including a picture of it as well as the vehicle year, color, make and model.
