Production is set to resume shortly on the upcoming New Line prequel currently titled ‘The Many Saints of Newark‘ a follow up feature to the HBO drama series The Sopranos. The film, set in the 1960s, will cover Tony Soprano’s childhood.
The all-star cast includes Alessandro Nivola, Vera Farmiga, Jon Bernthal, Billy Magnussen, Corey Stoll, Ray Liotta is currently in talks and Michael Gandolfini, who will play the Tony Soprano role originated by his late father James Gandolfini. “Sopranos” creator David Chase co-wrote the script with frequent collaborator Lawrence Konner and Alan Taylor, who has directed episodes of “The Sopranos” and “Game of Thrones,” is set to direct the movie, with New Line producing.
Filming is set to take place in NYC and New Jersey beginning in March. The casting director is currently seeking men, women and children to work on the feature as background extras, stand-ins and possible featured talent. At the present time they are currently seeking the following:
- EQUESTRIAN RIDERS – Seeking SAG-AFTRA OR NON UNION experienced Equestrian riders, African American females ages 10 – 13 for background work . Works 3/11. Please write in the subject line of your email: “FB, Equestrian Rider”

- TRIPLETS OR TWINS – Seeing -1 YEAR OLD CAUCASIAN GIRL TRIPLETS/TWINS WITH BROWN HAIR (shoot dates are 3/16 & 3/17) or 3 YEAR OLD CAUCASIAN BOYs TRIPLETS/TWINS WITH BROWN HAIR (shoot date is 3/13, night shoot).
