A national talent search is underway seeking an actress for the upcoming Gloria Steinem biopic “The Glorias: My Life on The Road“. Oscar-winner Julianne Moore will play the role of the feminist icon Steinem with fellow-Oscar winner Alicia Vikander in talks to play the activist between the ages of 20-40. Also, in talks to join the cast are Lulu Wilson, Bette Midler and Janelle Monae. The movie, based on Steinem’s memoir, will follow her journey to become a crusader for equal rights and her groundbreaking work as a journalist and campaigner.
The casting director has posted a national talent search seeking a Hispanic actress for supporting role on the feature:
- Dolores Huerta – Female, 40-50, Hispanic. A woman with ten children, she is an activist with the United Farm Workers, and speaks on the streets of New York on behalf of the grape pickers’ strike. Based on the real Dolores Huerta.
