An open casting call has been announced seeking kids for youth roles in the 2nd National Tour/Non-Union tour of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I  The Musical.

Seeking The Following Roles:

  • [ LOUIS LEONOWENS ] Male, plays 10 – 12 years old. Character is British, accent required. Anna Leonowens’s son. Curious and bright, fascinated and challenged by the adventure in Siam. Appealing young actor who sings very well. Alto.
  • [ MALE ROYAL CHILDREN / ENSEMBLE ] Male, to play 5 – 13 years old. Characters are Siamese princes. Must sing and move well. The older male children may also be considered to cover PRINCE CHULALONGKORN.
  • [ FEMALE ROYAL CHILDREN / ENSEMBLE ] Female, to play 5 – 11 years old. Characters are Siamese princesses. Must sing and move well. PRINCESS YING will also come out of the child ensemble. She is the youngest of the royal children, she should have a special quality about her, as she has some featured speaking parts.

Please bring a hard copy of your picture and resume, stapled together. Also bring sheet music for 16 bars of a song of your choice- an accompanist will be provided.
