The Tony Award-winning hit musical In The Heights Broadway is coming to the big screen! Filming is set to begin production month and the casting directors are seeking men women and children to play neighbors and NYC/Washington Heights residents in background roles. The film will be directed by Jon M. Chu. A release date is set for June 26, 2020.
Hamilton alum Anthony Ramos, who can currently be seen in A Star Is Born, has been tapped to play Usnavi—the part originally played by Miranda himself—who introduces audiences to the Washington Heights community and its array of characters.
