An open casting call has gone out seeking various types for the upcoming Seth Rogen comedy currently titled ‘The Untitled Pickle’ movie. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Rogen is set to star in the untitled project as Herschel Greenbaum, a young man who falls into a factory pickle barrel and emerges, one hundred years later, into hipster Brooklyn. Brandon Trost, who has worked on a cinematographer on earlier Rogen movies, is in talks to make his directorial debut on the Columbia comedy. Simon Rich, who wrote “Sell Out,” the 2013 New Yorker novella on which the new project is based, will write the screenplay based on his own story. Rogen, who made Sausage Party with Sony, Goldberg and James Weaver, will produce the movie adaptation through their Point Grey Pictures banner.
CBS Pittsburgh affiliate announced that the project began filming in the Pittsburgh, PA area on October 29th and will continue through the end of the month of November. The casting director over at Mosser Casting is seeking the following to work on the feature as paid extras and possible featured scene talent:
- HIPSTERS – Seeking hip, trendy people Ages 18+ for outdoor exterior scene scheduled to work this upcoming Monday 12/10. Must be available all day. If you have a vehicle please include your VEHICLE’S COLOR, YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL with your submission. Put “Monday” in the email subject line.
- RESTAURANT PATRONS – Seeking Men & Women, Ages 18-49 years old, for Interior and Exterior scenes to portray people in the restaurant as well as people on the street outside. Works 12/7.
- FEMALE PHOTO-DOUBLE – Seeking Female, ages 24-39 years old with Strawberry blonde or light Auburn hair. (Or willing to have a rinse put in for the day) 5’5-5’7. 125-145lbs. Very Fair complexion. Waist between a 27-30. Size Medium. Put “PHOTODOUBLE” in the subject line.
