An open casting call has gone out seeking men and women to play background actors for the upcoming Legendary Pictures feature film Hustle. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will now be released on Netflix with Adam Sandler is set to star and Lebron James will produce. In the drama, Sandler will play an American basketball scout who is unjustly fired after discovering a once-in-a-lifetime player abroad. He then decides to bring the player to the U.S. to prove that they both have what it takes to make it in the NBA.
The film is being produced by James’ Springhill Entertainment, Happy Madison and Roth/Kirschenbaum Films. Dave Meyers is signed on to direct from a script written by Taylor Materne. Filming is now taking place in the Philadelphia, PA area.
Producers are seeking SAG-AFTRA and NONUNION Men and Women, Ages 18+ who are available to work September 8th thru September 11th. COVID Test to take place on Monday 9/6. Locals are preferred for this project.
