The music period drama Wu-Tang: An American Saga has been renewed for a second season by Hulu. According to Deadline, the streaming service is bringing back the series following it’s launch in the final quarter of 2019.
The series created by Alex Tse and RZA and Imagine Television Studios premiered on Hulu on September 4th 2019 and follows the Wu-Tang Clan’s formation, a vision of Bobby Diggs aka The RZA and the influential hip hop super group’s rise amid the dangers and excesses that came with the epidemic of the late 80’s/90’s crack era. The group battles against the struggles of balancing their music career amidst forces that hold them down and these include their own occasional impulse to give up the fight.
The show stars Ashton Sanders, Shameik Moore, Dave East, Siddiq Saunderson, Marcus Callender, Julian Elijah Martinez, Zolee Griggs, Erika Alexander, TJ Atoms and Johnell Young.
