Auditions for the FOX talent competition series The Four: Battle for Stardom are a go for season 2 and now is your chance to tryout! The series, which premiered January 4, is Fox’s highest-rated new unscripted series in nearly four years among adults 18-49 and total viewers. Just hours before the Season 1 finale of The Four: Battle for Stardom, FOX announced that the singing competition show will be back for a second season. The show is hosted by former Blackeye Peas member Fergie, and features music industry pros such as Sean Combs, DJ Khaled and Meghan Trainor. While rumor has it that 3 of those 4 judges will be back, FOX has yet to announce it. However, the show is now casting talented singers coast to coast who would love a chance to auditions for a coveted spot on the prime-time singing competition.
The Four is a singing competition that differs among similar talent competitions, in that there is no auditions stage. The artists, also known as the challengers, are held in the holding room before singing in front of a live studio audience and the judges. This panel of people in the music industry ultimately decides the best challengers that compete against “The Four”. Their decision must be unanimous. The members consist of vocalists of varying genres, and they must win challenges against new fellow artists to keep their seat and remain as a member of “The Four”. At the end of six weeks, the last singer standing among “The Four” wins the competition.
