Now seeking a diverse group of strong dancers and pop singers that will play multiple parts for Broadway’s On Your Feet: The Story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. Spanish-speaking performers of all Latinx backgrounds encouraged to submit. This is a shared co-production between Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia and Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL. The cast will rehearse at Riverside and have a run followed by a transfer to Philadelphia with a second re-tech and run to close in the spring.

SEEKING
- GLORIA – Female-identyfing. 20s-30s. Cuban. Starts off shy, but slowly opens up as the show progresses. Becomes an icon. Sharp sense of humor. Strong Actress with star quality. Must speak fluent Spanish, sing pop, and move well.
- EMILIO – Male-identifying. 30-40s. Cuban. Confident, Handsome, Loyal, Leading tenor with character. Sometimes stumbles over his English as well as his emotions. Must speak fluent Spanish and sing well.
- GLORIA FAJARDO – Female-identifying. 50s-60s. Cuban. Gloria’s brassy, strong-willed mother. Latin matriarch. Biting humor. Must speak fluent Spanish and sing well.
- CONSUELO – Female-identifying. 60s-70s. Cuban. Gloria’ Grandmother, who comes off as a Cuban stage mother. Wise, loving, and warm. Always pushing Gloria to achieve her dreams. Must speak fluent Spanish and be able to carry a tune.
- YOUNG EMILIO/NAYIB – Boy age 8-12. Doubles as Emilio Estefan as a boy, as well as Gloria Estefan’s son. Must be a strong dancer and speak Spanish. Does not need to sing.
- LITTLE GLORIA – Girl age 10-12. Cuban. Innocent, smart, and self-reliant. A little sad, but always hopeful. Must speak Spanish and sing well.
- ENSEMBLE – A diverse group of strong dancers and pop singers that will play multiple parts – all gender-identities and ages. Some understudy principal parts.
PREPARATION:
SINGERS – Please prepare a 16 or 32 bar cut of a pop selection in the style of the show. Video submissions should not exceed 3 minutes and should be Vimeo/Unlisted YouTube links.
