A casting call has been announced seeking extras and stand-ins for the upcoming drama thriller, Mr. Mercedes. In early 2015, it was announced that David E. Kelley had signed on to develop a limited television series based on the Stephen King novel Mr. Mercedes, and now it is being reported that the project has found a home at AT&T’s Audience Network. The network has given a 10-episode straight-to-series order to the adaptation, which will premiere sometime in 2018 on both DirecTV and AT&T Uverse. The plot centers on a demented killer who taunts a retired police detective with a series or lurid letters and emails, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private and potentially felonious crusade to bring killer to justice before he can strike again. The series will star Brendan Gleeson and Anton Yelchin.
The 10 Episode TV Series Mr. Mercedes will begin filming in Charleston, SC and surrounding towns in January 2017. The casting director is currently seeking Babies, Kids & Teens for filming in January. All ages, races and types needed. Filming for certain scenes could take place during school hours. Must be available to do such. They have several scenes that will require a few kids in the neighborhood, another group playing Street Hockey (if you can play and have gear needed -let them know), and a BABY or set of INFANT TWINS newborn -3 months of age. Those submitting to work should be from the general area, within a short driving distance or willing to work as a local hire. No housing, travel, gas bumps will be given. If you have yet to submit your child or teen, please do such ASAP.
