Casting calls have now gone out for the new upcoming NBC comedy, Shrink. NBC’s new TV series is looking for actors, models, and couples for a new show currently filming in Chicago. We hear the casting director is seeking fresh faces to work as non-union featured extras . According to Deadline, the series stars Tim Baltz as “a recent medical school graduate who loses his residency and finds himself unemployed with a half million dollars of student loan debt. With his dream of becoming a ‘real doctor’ dashed, he discovers a loophole to becoming a therapist by recording 1,920 supervised clinical hours, which he begins by soliciting unorthodox patients from Craigslist and conducts the free sessions in his parents’ garage.
The casting director is currently seeking the following:
- SLOPPY BLUE COLLAR CHICAGO GUY – You should be able to play a Caucasian male in his 20s/30s. Works TUESDAY, 10/11.
- REAL BARTENDER – Male/Female, Any Ethnicity, Any Age 21+. Works TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11TH.
- SHIRTLESS MALE MODEL W/ BEARD – Male, Any Ethnicity, Physically Fit. You should be able to portray a male model in his 20s/30s
You should be comfortable being shirtless in front of the camera. Works WEDNESDAY, 10/12. - MAN WITH FACE TATTOO – Male, Any Ethnicity, All Ages 18+ – Works THURSDAY, 10/13.
- OLDER ASIAN MAN – Male, 50+. Works THURSDAY, 10/13. You should be able to portray an Asian man.
- BLAND-LOOKING COUPLE – These are plain-looking/”drab” people who can portray a Caucasian couple. Works THURSDAY, 10/13.
- BASEBALL PLAYERS – Looking for Males, Any Ethnicity, 21+ who can portray REAL baseball players as you will be playing on part of the “CUBS,” if selected. Works FRIDAY, 10/14.
- MEDICAL SCHOOL FRIENDS – Male/Female, Any Ethnicity, You should look as if you are currently in medical school. Works TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11TH.
- BAR PATRONS – Male/Female, Any Ethnicity, Any Age 21+. Works TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11TH.
- GROCERY STORE EMPLOYEE – Male/Female, Any Ethnicity, Any Age 17+. Works WEDNESDAY, 10/12.
- PEOPLE ON A PIER – Male/Female, Any Ethnicity, Any Age 17+. Works THURSDAY, 10/13.
- ADULT STORE CUSTOMERS – Male/Female, Any Ethnicity, Any Age 21+. Works THURSDAY, 10/13.
