A casting call has gone out seeking various talent to work on the upcoming FOX sci-fi crime drama series, NeXt. Created by Manny Coto (Star Trek: Enterprise, Dexter) yhe series centers on the efforts of a Homeland Cybersecurity team to counter “a rogue AI with the ability to constantly improve itself. Set to star are John Slattery, Fernanda Andrade, Michael Mosley, Eve Harlow and Jason Butler Harner.
On February 5, 2019, it was announced that FOX had given the production a pilot order. The pilot was written by Manny Coto, who also serves as executive producer. Production companies involved with the pilot include Zaftig Films, Fox Entertainment, and the Disney-owned 20th Century FOX Television. On May 9, 2019, it was announced that Fox had ordered the pilot to series. A few days later, it was announced the series would premiere as a mid-season replacement series in the second quarter of 2020.
Filming is taking place in and around the Chicago area. The casting director is currently seeking the following to work on the series as paid background extras, standins, photo doubles and possible featured talent:
- REAL POLICE TYPES – Seeking MALE, Ages 21+ Clean cut, All ethnicities, groomed facial hair, MUST BE REAL- Police, SWAT, Military..etc. In submission please tell us your experience. Works THURSDAY FEB. 6 AND FRIDAY FEB 7TH. MUST BE AVAILABLE BOTH DAYS. Please put ” REAL POLICE TYPE” in the email subject line.
- REAL SWAT TEAM, REAL TAC POLICE – Seeking Males/females, all ethnicities, physically fit, Ages 23-50. MUST HAVE REAL EXPERIENCE -POLICE/MILITARY/LAW ENFORCEMENT. Please tell us your REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE. Please put the above appropriate title in the subject line of your email.
