Production is set to begin in January on the upcoming 5th and final season of the Netflix science fiction horror series, Stranger Things. Netflix renewed the supernatural drama for a fourth season in September 2019 when it also closed a major overall deal with the Duffer Brothers. In February 2022, Stranger Things was renewed for a fifth and final season. The series stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobbie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery.
Filming is taking place in and around the Atlanta, GA area is is set to begin early January. The casting director is looking for various types to work on the series as paid background, standins and possible featured talent. At the present time they are currently seeking the following:
- HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS – Seeking Men and Women, Ages 18+, Any ethnicity, to play high school students. Multiple film dates. Please remember this is a period piece show set in the 1980s – Men please do not cut your hair or shave your sideburns. Women please have your natural hair color. No artificial highlights or artificial long nails. The french manicure was very popular and the “chiclet” style (squared off) for length – so this is an acceptable style. Film Dates: 1/16, 1/17, 1/18 & 1/19. Fitting Dates: 1/5, 1/8, 1/9, 1/10, 1/11 & 1/12.
- FEATURED MALE ROLE – Seeking Male, Any ethnicity 18 to 30. Film Dates: 1/16, 1/17, 1/18, 1/19 & 1/31. Fitting Dates: 1/5, 1/8, 1/9, 1/10, 1/11 & 1/12.
- VEHICLE OWNERS – If you own a 1970s-1980s vehicle, pleae submit. Include YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL of your vehicle. They also bwill need some people to ride period bicycles and skateboards – if not your own, they will be provided.
