Casting Call for Romance Drama 'Five Feet Apart'

A casting call has gone out for the upcoming CBS films romance drama Five Feet Apart. According to Variety, set to star in the film are Cole Sprouse (Zack and Cody, Riverdale), Moises Arias (The King of Summer) and Haley Lu Richardson (Split, Columbus). The film will be directed by Justin Baldoni from a script by Mikki Daughtry (“The Children”) and Tobias Iaconis (“Sleep Tight”). Cathy Schulman, who won a best picture Oscar for “Crash,” is producing under her Welle Entertainment banner along with Baldoni via his company Wayfarer Entertainment.

The story centers on a young couple falling for one another, though they are both living on borrowed time. It is being described as an uplifting story about the people who help make every moment count as well as the transcendent power of love. Filming is taking place in the greater New Orleans area in Louisiana from mid-May through late-June. There are lots of casting needs for this one. The casting director is seeking various talent to work as stand-ins, photo doubles, background extras and possible featured talent on the film. As of right now the following talent is being sought:

FAMILY MEMBERS/VISITORS – Seeking Women Ages 20’s-30’s looking women (all ethnicities) to portray Hospital Staff. You will be working in 2 locations: Chalmette, LA and New Orleans, LA. You will be required to work in the Bistro scene later that day and must be able to bring the additional attire. You will receive a $5 mileage bump for working in both locations. Works 6/18.
WAITSTAFF – Seeking Men and Women (Ages 18+ years old, all ethnicities) to portray waitstaff at an outdoor cafe. Works 6/18.

CAFE – Seeking Men and Women (Ages 18+ years old, all ethnicities) to portray customers at an outdoor cafe. Works 6/18.
PARAMEDICS – Seeking Men and Women (18+ years old, all ethnicities) to portray Paramedics rushing to a hospital emergency. You will be utilizing your skills in this scene so medical experience is preferred! This will most likely be an overnight shoot! Works 6/15.

Since this film is set in 2007, please do not submit if you have an ultra modern hair cut or un-natural hair colors, like ombre, and tattoos on your face, neck or hands.
