Production is currently underway on the upcoming Netflix sci-fi feature film “The Electric State” currently filming under working title Stormwind. According to Deadline, the feature Electric State is an adaptation of Simon Stålenhag‘s sci-fi graphic novel which was released in 2018. Set in a post-apocalyptic 1997, The Electric State is the story of Michelle who, accompanied by her toy robot Skip, sets out across the western United States in a stolen car to find her missing brother. Set to star are Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Chris Pratt, Stanley Tucci, Jenny Slate, and Billy Bob Thornton.
The production of The Electric State is currently casting for numerous roles including the role of Young Michelle and Christopher according to our intel. Filming will take place in and areound the Atlanta, GA area and cameras will role out beginning Ocgtober through February 2023. At the present time the casting director is seeking the following:
- CARS – Seeking Men and Women with OLDER CARS (1975 to 1993) to work in very small night scenes, as Pedestrians at a Rest Stop. FITTING date: this WED 11/16. - GENERAL EXTRAS – Seeking Seeking Kids Ages 8 to 15 and Young adults who can pass as teens Ages 18 to 25 and MEN and WOMEN, Ages 35 to 60. Any ethnicity. The is for a lakeside beach scene takes place in the late 1980’s. They want fun, cool people who want to rock the 80’s hair look! Fitting Location: Fayetteville, GA. Covid Test #2: Oct. 21st or 22nd. Works Oct. 24th in Acworth, GA.
- TEENS – Seeking Young adults, Ages 18+, Any ethnicity who can play teens for a 1993 high school scene. Fittings: Oct. 25th – Nov. 1st. Works Nov. 7th. Work Location: Fayetteville, GA.
