A casting call has gone out seeking various types to work on the ongoing season of the NBC medical drama series Chicago Med. It focuses on the emergency department at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center and on its doctors and nurses as they work to save patients’ lives. It sometimes crosses over with characters from Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. The show stars Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya DaCosta, Torrey Devitto, Rachel DiPillo, S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, and Colin Donnell. The series premiered its 7th season on September 22, 2021.
Filming is taking place in and around the Chicago, Ill area. The casting director is currently seeking the following types to work on the series as paid background and possible featured talent:
- ATHLETIC TEEN – Seeking African American or Latina Female, Age 16 to 19, who can film on Tuesday, May 3rd, and Monday May 9th. This is to play the friend of one of the actors and is a nonspeaking featured role. You will need to be available to Covid test (takes about one hour), on Sunday, May 1st, go to a fitting on Monday, May 2nd, at 12:30PM (takes about two hours), then also Covid test on Friday, May 6th. - FUNERAL FRIENDS – Seeking vaccinated Caucasian, Grey/white hair, 60’s to 80s, WITH CARS (no white, no red cars), all ethnicities, (two shots, plus the booster shot), to work as a “FRIENDS AT A FUNERAL” on THURSDAY, April 21st. You will need to attend Covid tests on Monday, April 18th (takes about one hour) AND ALSO attend a wardrobe fitting and Covid test (takes about 2 hours) on Wednesday, April 20th. - RESTAURANT PATRONS – Seeking vaccinated MALES , 20’s to 40’s, all ethnicities, (two shots, plus the booster shot), to work as a restaurant patron on Tuesday April 19th. You will need to attend Covid tests on Sunday, April 17th (takes about one hour). Please put “Rest” in email subject line.
- NAVAL HONOR GUARD – Seeking a REAL NAVAL HONOR GUARD. Military types are also needed for the scene. This is for a one day shoot. This will also require a COVID test (takes about one hour) and a fitting (takes about 2 hours). Please put “Navy” in email subject line. Send photo of yourself in uniform.
- CT TECH – Seeking FEMALE, 20’s to 50’s, all ethnicities, to work as CT Techt to work on Friday, April 1st. There will be a covid test Wednesday, March 30th. Please put “CT Tech.” in email subject line.
- UNDERCOVER COP & SWAT: Seeking MALE and FEMALE, Age 20’s to 50’s, all ethnicities, to work as Undercover Cops and Swat. Experience is not necessary, but helpful. You will need to be available for multiple dates starting Friday, April 1st. The dates are TBD. You will be working majority of the episode. Please put “ND Cops” or “Swat” in email subject line.
- ICU MEDICAL TYPES – Seeking Asian, Latino, African American, Middle Eastern MALES, Ages 20 to 60’s, to work as Medical Types and ICU types. The episode starts filming Thursday, April 14th for the whole episode! There will be a COVID test on Tuesday, April 12th. The episode will end around Wednesday, April 27th.
