Casting Call for Marvel Sequel ‘Black Panther Wakanda Forever’

Production is currently underway on the upcoming Marvel superhero film sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The film is a sequel to Black Panther and Avengers: Endgame. It is the thirtieth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the seventh film of Phase Four. The film is set to be released on July 8, 2022. After Chadwick Boseman’s untimely death last August, some fans have advocated for the next Black Panther film to follow the comics and to have Shuri, T’Challa’s sister, take on the role as the new Black Panther. It is said that the sequel will continue to explore the incomparable world of Wakanda and all the rich and varied characters introduced in the 2018 film. Set to star are returning characters played by Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Tenoch Huerta and Martin Freeman. Ryan Coogler will direct.

Filming will commence in the Atlanta, GA area between 7/13 and 8/13/21. The casting director is currently seeking the following to work on the feature as paid background, standins, photo doubles and possible featured talent:

  • LATINX – Seeking HISPANIC MEN AND WOMEN, All types, Ages 18 to 80. Works 3/3 but FITTINGS are taking place week of 2/21/22.
  • MILITARY, CIA and SHIP CREW TYPES – Seeking Men and Women, (New Faces), Ages 25 to 55, to portray Military types, CIA and Ship Crew types. Work Date: This SAT 11/6 AND SUN 11/7. Approx start time: 5:00PM each night.
