Casting is currently underway for the upcoming major motion picture ‘Open World‘ which is rumored to be the current working title for Captain Marvel. The story is based on the Marvel comics superhero character Carol Danvers. Danvers first appeared as an officer in the United States Air Force and a colleague if the Kree superhero Mar-vell in Marvel Super-Heroes #13 (March 1968) and later became the first incarnation of Ms. Marvel in Ms. Marvel #1 (cover-dated Jan. 1977) after her DNA was fused with Mar-Vell’s during an explosion, giving her superhuman powers. Set to star are Brie Larson in the title role as (Carol Danvers) Lee Pace, Gemma Chan, Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, Lashana Lynch, Annette Benning, Ben Mendelsohn and Djimon Hounsou. Filming is set to begin in the end of the month and throughout the month of July in the White Castle, Louisiana area.
The casting director is currently seeking the following to work on the film as paid background extras stand-ins and possible featured talent.
- FEMALE STAND-IN for BRIE – Seeking a 5’7″ – 5’9″ Caucasian looking female with blonde, dirty blonde or light brown hair (18+ years old) to work as a Stand-in! Please see reference photo below. Stand-in experience preferred. You should be available to work in White Castle, LA everyday from June 26th – July 13th.
- FEMALE STAND-IN #2 – Seeking a 4’7″ – 5’1″ African American looking female with brown or black hair (18+ years old) to work as a Stand-in! Please see reference photo below. Hair does not have to be curly! Stand-in experience preferred. You should be available to work in White Castle, LA from Wednesday, June 27th – Friday, July 6th (excluding weekends). You will be working on Wednesday, July 4th! Please notate “SI #2” in the subject line of your email
- PHOTO DOUBLE #7 for LASHANA– Seeking African-American looking woman (18+ years old) height: 5’8 – 5’10 with dark skin-tone and dark hair to work as a photo double! Please follow the instructions in order to be considered!
- GRANDPARENTS – Seeking a 60’s-70’s African American looking couple (18+ years old) to portray the Grandparents of an actress. A real-life couple is preferred but you can also submit as an individual. This works Monday, July 2nd.
- GOVERNMENT MEDICAL AGENTS – Seeking a 20’s-60’s Professional types (18+ years old, any ethnicity) to portray Government Medical Agents. This works Friday, July 6th.
