Production is set to get underway shortly on the upcoming Warner Bros. Pictures film The Suicide Squad 2. A casting call has gone out seeking various types to work on the DC Comics feature (currently going by working title El Dorado) based on the comic by the same name. While details of the plot is being kept under wraps for now, it is expected to largely ignore what happened in the first Suicide Squad movie. Warner Bros has set the film’s release date for 6th August 2021. So far, Golden Globe-winner Idris Elba, Viola Davis, John Cena, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Amanda Rabinowitz and Jai Courtenay have been tapped to star in the super-villain team-up movie. James Gunn will direct. Recruited by a shadowy government department, the Suicide Squad is a team of supervillains who are forced to carry out clandestine missions and assassinations, pressured into their actions via threat of death via explosive implants in their heads.
Filming will be taking place in and around the Atlanta, GA area beginning in September through January 2020. The film is looking to cast lots of area locals that to work as paid background extras, stand-ins, photo doubles and possible featured talent on set. At the present time the casting director is seeking the following:
- PATIENTS – Seeking Men and Women, Ages 20-55, all ethnicities with ACTING experience to be featured as PATIENTS in a cool, pivotal scene! One will be selected to be the LAB ASSISTANT of a Key Character. Must have dark hair. MEN, should have short hair or bald and clean shaven. Works Tues 11/26, THURS 12/5 and/or MON 12/9. - UPSCALE TYPES – Seeking Men and Women, Ages 18 to 60, Hispanic, Black or Middle Eastern looks preferred, to be Palace GUARDS, SERVANTS and ATTENDANTS in really good SMALL SCENES! MEN must be clean cut (short /neat hair and clean shaven or a neat mustache ONLY). Works 11/20 & 11/21. Please put PALACE STAFF in the email subject line.
- REBELS/GUERILLAS – Seeking MEN and WOMEN, Ages 18 to 50 to be a special featured group of rebels fighting for a cause. Think “guerrillas” etc… Hispanic , Black or Middle Eastern looks. Men can have longer or shorter hair, scruffy and clean shaven looks. FITTING DATE:This FRI 10/11 or Thurs 10/17 or FRI 10/18. Works MON 11/4, MON 11/18, THURS 12/5, FRI 12/6 and MON 12/9. - NIGHTCLUB ATTENDEES – Seeking Men & Women, Hispanic and Central America looks, Ages 18 to 65 to play night club attendees.
