Little Radical Theatrics, Fatima Viegas, Executive Producer, is thrilled to announce auditions for its Spring Production of “FAME”
They are seeking leading, featured and ensemble student roles that are open to performers AGES 11-23. There will also be roles for older adults (AGES 24+) who will play the leading and featured roles of the four teachers (Miss Sherman the English teacher, Miss Bell the ballet teacher, Mr Sheinkopf the music teacher and Mr Myers the drama teacher)

SEEKING
- Serena Katz – Female, Age 13 – 23, A shy and timid, yet keen and enthusiastic actress. She is attracted to Nick. Excellent actress and singer. Vocal type: Soprano belt.

- Nick Piazza Male, Age 13 – 23, Ambitious, enthusiastic, classical actor who is very serious about his craft. He holds a hidden romantic interest for Serena. Excellent actor and singer. Vocal Type: Baritenor
- Joe Vegas – Male, Age 13 – 23, An acting student. Loud, funny, and comical. He develops a crush on Carmen. Excellent comedic actor who can sing. Vocal type: Baritone.
- Carmen Diaz – Female, Age 13 – 23, A sassy and confident, but cocky, dancer with a big ego. Carmen is determined to make it big and is obsessed with the idea of fame, nearly to a fault. A triple threat role, must be an excellent singer, actress and dancer. Vocal type: Mezzo Belter.
- Tyrone Jackson – Male, Age 13 – 23, A talented but dyslexic hip hop dancer who comes from a poor background. Shares a difficult relationship with Iris. *Alternate casting: JACK ZAKOWSKI – Headstrong, able, dancer. A functional illiterate from a poor background and Russian immigrant student from Brighton Beach in Brooklyn. Male, 13-23 yrs old. Excellent dancer and actor who can sing and rap. Vocal type: Baritone who can rap.
- Iris Kelly – Female, Age 13 – 23, A very talented, graceful ballet dancer who often comes across as snobbish and mean because of her insecurities with herself. She shares a difficult relationship with Tyrone. Excellent dancer and actress. Vocal type: Mezzo.
- Schlomo Metzenbaum – Male, Age 13 – 23, A classical violinist or pianist who starts a rock band. He is fed up from the strain of his famous violinist father’s expectations. He is very wise and academically clever. Is in love with Carmen. Excellent actor and singer. Ability to play violin or piano a plus! Vocal type: Baritenor.
- Grace Lamb (lambchops) – Female, Age 12 – 23, A loud, confrontational rock chick and tomboy who plays the drums for Schlomo’s band. She often loses her temper and it is implied that she does not take school seriously. Excellent comedic actress who can sing. Vocal type: Mezzo Belter.
- Goodman King – Male, Age 12 – 23, A musician who is in Schlomo’s band. He is believed to be Schlomo’s best friend. Strong comedic actor with a good voice. Vocal type: Baritone.
- Mabel Washington – Female, Age 12 – 23, A loud and overweight dancer and singer who is desperate to shed the pounds but can’t resist food. Often speaks her mind and gives out advice to others in their times of trouble. Strong actress and singer with good comedic timing who moves well. Vocal type: Mezzo Pop-Belt.
- Miss Esther Sherman – Female, Age 30 – 50, A strict, old-fashioned English teacher who loves her students despite the fact that she comes down hard on them. Extremely strong actress and singer with a gospel sound. Vocal type: Mezzo Belt.
- Miss Greta Bell – Female, Age 35 – 50+ A dance teacher with a passion for different styles of dance. Believes that dance is a way of life and is very protective of her students. A triple threat role: must be able to dance, sing and act very well. Vocal type: Mezzo Belt.
- Mr. Sheinkopf – Male, Age 35 – 50 European Music tutor with a love for classical music and dislike for all things rock and roll. Role for a strong comedic actor.
- Mr. Myers – Male, Age 35 – 50+ A laid back drama teacher with an obsession for human psychology. Strong actor.
- Ensemble – Any gender, Age 11 – 23. Students who are featured throughout the many group scenes and company numbers with featured solos as singers, lines and dancing solos.
AUDITIONS for all roles will be held on Wednesday February 13th 2019 from 6-8:30 PM at ArtsWestchester 31 Mamaroneck Ave White Plains NY, and Thursday February 14th 2019 from 6-8:30 PM at The Grinton Will Library 1500 Central Park Ave Yonkers NY.

They are seeking people of all ethnicities, physical types and ability levels with plenty of leading and featured roles for strong actors, strong singers, strong dancers, strong rappers and strong musicians!!
For your audition please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show and bring sheet music as well as your headshot and resume (or a recent photo).
CALLBACKS will be held Saturday February 16th 12:30-4:30 PM at The Grinton Will Library .
REHEARSALS will begin February 20th and generally run Tues-Thurs evenings 6-8:30/9 PM and Saturday afternoons at The Goldensword Church in Bronxville and at The Grinton Will Library. ACTORS WILL ONLY BE CALLED AS NEEDED and schedule will be built around actors’ conflicts.
