Casting Call for CW Series ‘Black Lightning’ Season 3
An open casting call has gone out seeking talent to work as paid extras and possible featured talent on the upcoming third season of The CW DC legend superhero-drama series Black Lightning. The series centers on the retired Black Lightning return to his life as a superhero and follows the effects of his vigilante activity on his professional and family life. The series stars Cress Williams, China Ann McClain, Nafessa Wiliams, Christine Adams, Marvin Jones III, Damon Gupton, James Remar and Jordan Calloway. The first season premiered on January 16, 2018 and ran for 13 episodes. In January 2019, The CW renewed the series for a third season, set to premiere on October 7, 2019.
The series films in Atlanta, GA. The casting directors are currently seeing the following to work on the series as paid background extras and possible featured talent.
- HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS – Men & Women, Ages 18-28; (looking for adults that can play TEENAGERS) Very young looks; Open Ethnicity — Male students should be CLEAN-SHAVEN or willing to TRIM/SHAVE Facial hair!! Ladies, submitting photos with little to no makeup highly encouraged. – Remember, you should look HS age. Let us know if you’ve worked as a Garfield High Student before. – Looking for jock types, drama club types, science club types, etc. Works 8/12 & 8/15. - SCHOOL STAFF – Seeking Men & Women, Ages 32-55; Male/Female; Open Ethnicity; Business professional types – this includes TEACHERS and SECRETARIES. Works 8/12 & 8/15. - PROTECTION TEAM – Seeking Men & Women, Ages 25-55; Male/Female; Open Ethnicity – This includes COMMANDOS (military types) and SCHOOL SECURITY. Works 8/12 & 8/15. - FEATURED PATIENT – Black or Hispanic Female; age 18-25; must be able to play as if you’re having a seizure; must be comfortable with spfx blood and make-up on skin; tentative shoot date Wednesday, August 21st; include reel and headshot to be considered; rate $150/8; plus make-up bump. Must be available to interview in person with Director on Monday, August 12th in Decatur for Featured Patient role. Please put “Featured Patient” in the email subject line.
There are no specific call-times as of yet. Must be able to work a min 8-10hrs regardless of call times. Please see specific scenarios below.
