Production is now underway on the NBC medical drama series Chicago Med. Submissions are now being accepted for various types to work on the series as paid background and possible featured talent.
Chicago Med premiered on NBC on November 17, 2015. In April 2023, the series was renewed for a ninth season, which is scheduled to premiere on January 17, 2024. Set in Chicago, Chicago Med is the third series in Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise. It focuses on the emergency department at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center and on its doctors and nurses as they work to save patients’ lives. It sometimes crosses over with characters from Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.
Shooting is taking place in and around the Chicago, Ill area. At the present time the casting director is accepting submissions from actors who fit the following character description:
- HOT DOC – Seeking an attractive female in her 40s, any ethnicity, but NOT blonde to play a doctor that gets looked at/checked out by a pharmacy rep in a flirtatious manner. Filming date: Thursday, January 11th. Please put “HOT DOC” in email subject line.
- FRACTURED FRIEND – Seeking a male, 30s, any ethnicity to play a rather broken body that gets brought in on a backboard after a car crash. You will have props on you including a neck brace, intubation tube, oxygen bag, IV lines, etc. Our cast will be performing a pelvic x-ray of you as well. Between the backboard and medical exam, you will be jostled around a little bit. Please note that this may not be the most comfortable role for anyone with back pain, or is sensitive to motion sickness. Tuesday, January 16th. Please put “FRACTURED FRIEND” in email subject line.
- DISTRACTING SIBLINGS – SIBLINGS between the ages of 3 and 7 years old. Open to any ethnicity, boys and girls. An in-person meeting with the director is highly likely, as this role will require some reacting/acting, with the potential for an upgrade. Please make sure to send CURRENT photos. - GOODWIN’S GRANDSON – Seeking an African American baby boy, roughly 24 months of age (give or take). TWINS ARE PREFERRED, but we’ll also accept single baby submissions. This will have some great camera time with one of our cast members. Please make sure to submit your child’s date of birth, and provide their height and weight. CURRENT PHOTOS ARE A MUST! - HISPANIC & LATINO MALES and FEMALES – Ages 6 and up. Needed to portray migrant hospital patients.
