Seeking Performers for ‘Untitled’ Michael Jackson Musical

Performers are being sought for the upcoming developmental lab of the Broadway-aimed Michael Jackson musical will take place September 24–October 21, according to an Equity casting notice. According to Playbill, Tony winner Christopher Wheeldon will direct and choreograph the show, inspired by the life of the pop star. The musical will incorporate Jackson’s myriad hits with a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage. The casting notice includes breakdowns for both a Michael in his 20s–30s as well as a younger, Jackson 5-era Michael.

The Michael Jackson Estate and Columbia Live Stage announced the project—as well as a slated 2020 Broadway bow—earlier this month. No word yet on any other engagements, including any out-of-town tryout.

  • YOUNG MICHAEL JACKSON – 10, Great singer/dancer/actor to portray Michael at age 10.
