The James Cameron Terminator reboot has fond it new lead cyborg star. Colombian actress Natalia Reyes has nabbed the starring role in the feature. According to Deadline, Reyes is best known for her starring role in Sony’s hit Latin America series Lady, La Vendedora de Rosas and as one of the stars of Peter Webber’s Netflix original film Pickpockets. She also stars in Ciro Guerra’s upcoming Birds of Passage. She’s repped by Vision Entertainment and Maria Clara Lopez.
Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger are returning to the fold but it is being said that their roles will be brief. Blade Runner 2049 actress Mackenzie Davis is one of the new star additions to the sci-fi action project from Paramount and Skydance. Gabriel Luna, who is known for playing Ghost Rider on ABC’s Agents of SHIELD, also has been cast in the film, as well as Mexican-born Diego Boneto, known for his work in Scream Queens.The Terminator reboot resurrected by Skydance’s David Ellison in concert with James Cameron, who gets back a lot of the reversion rights to the original 1984 movie, next year.
The cast is expected to begin training later in April with an eye toward a May production start. The film opens Nov. 22, 2019. Paramount will distribute domestically while Fox releases the film internationally. Reyes is repped by Vision Entertainment in the US and Maria Clara Lopez in Colombia.
