Equity Chorus Call Seeking Singers & Dancers for ‘Hair’ The Musical

The Geva Theatre Center in Rochester New York is seeking equity singers and dancers for ensemble/special chorus roles in the musical production of Hair.  Hair is a rock-musical based on the hippie counterculture and sexual revolution of the late 1960s, several of its songs became anthems of the anti-Vietnam War peace movement.

SEEKING:

  • CRISSY – Female, Caucasian, teens – early 20s, innocent, pure. folksy voice to D. Sings “Frank Mills”MARGARET MEAD- Male, 20’s, Caucasian. Androgynous, appears in drag, must have really strong comic chops and improv. ability. Sings “My Conviction”. Must be comfortable with nudity. High tenor to A. Must move well.
  • MALE TRIBE
    Male, 20’s, Looking for outstanding singers who move well. Impressions, characters, comic chops a plus to play multiple roles. High Baritones and Tenors. Must dance or move extremely well.
  • FEMALE TRIBE
    Female, 20’s, Looking for outstanding singers who move well for the “White Boys” trio etc. Comic chops a plus to play multiple roles. Sensational, soulful singers with high belt. Must dance or move extremely well.
