America’s favorite dance competition show So You Think You Can Dance is back for a new season and open auditions have been scheduled! So You Think You Can Dance has won seven Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography and a total of nine Emmy Awards altogether. Licensed variations of the show, produced for broadcast markets in other nations, began airing in August 2005, and dozens of localized adaptations of the show have been produced since, airing in 37 countries to date. On February 15, 2018, Fox renewed the series for a fifteenth season, set to premiere Summer 2018. We will see Cat Deeley return as Host and Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Vanessa Hudgens return as judges.
They are seeking submissions to cast dancers ages 18 to 30 all styles – tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, specialty – to compete on the upcoming season. This is your chance!
This season, potential contestants may audition in person in NY or LA. In addition, potential contestants may audition online by registering at https://soyouthinkyoucandance2018.castingcrane.com and uploading a video or providing a link to a video of their performance. If selected, producers will reach out to schedule the contestant for an in-person audition in one of the two audition cities: New York (March 2-4) or Los Angeles (TBD).
The deadline to register online for a chance to audition in New York is Saturday, Feb. 24. The LA audition date will be announced shortly.
