Casting Call for AMC Drama Series, Dietland

A casting call has gone out seeking talent to work on the upcoming AMC new original drama series Dietland based on Sarai Walker’s 2015 novel of the same name. The 10-episode first season will premiere on AMC in 2018.  The series is set against the backdrop of the beauty industry. The part-character drama and part-revenge fantasy will explore society’s obsession with weight loss and beauty in a bold, original and funny way.   The series stars Juliana Margulies.  Margulies will play Kitty Montgomery, a wildly ambitious magazine editor whose world is thrown into chaos when a feminist terrorist organization starts targeting people in her orbit. Filming will take place in NYC beginning November 27th 2017 through early Spring 2018.

The series is a co-production between AMC Studios and Skydance Television. Noxon will serves as executive producer, writer and show-runner. Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross are executive producers, along with Maria Grasso of Tiny Pyro, Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn of Mockingbird Pictures and Jackie Hoyt. The casting director is seeking SAG/AFTRA and Non-Union talent to work on the series as background, stand-ins and possible featured talent.  At the present time they are currently seeking the following:
  • SAG-AFTRA / NON-UNION Indian, Middle Eastern, or Hispanic female with dark brown hair (age 20-35) for photo double. Height 5’4-5’6. Must be a dress size 0-2. Works Thursday 3/1.
