Rapper Eve Joins CBS Daytime Show The Talk as New Co-Host

It was announced today that Grammy Award winning rapper and actress Eve has officially joined the panel of CBS Daytime Show The Talk.  The rapper made her debut today after appear as a guest co-host for the past month.  The show was created by actress Sara Gilbert, who also serves as an executive producer, along with John Redmann.

Along with Gilbert, the show features Julie Chen (who serves as the program’s moderator),  Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood discussing the day’s latest headlines, while usually tying in the show’s theme of motherhood or at least parenthood, such as by giving their opinions “through the eyes of mothers.” It also contains celebrity interviews and segments for mothers and parents in general.

The chanteuse artist whose real name is Eve Jeffers Cooper will replace actress and comedienne Aisha Tyler who announced her departure back in June , citing her desire to focus her attention on her other projects, which include CBS’ Criminal Minds, FXX’s Archer, and The CW’s Whose Line Is It Anyway.  “It’s been bittersweet,” she said. “We use that word a lot because I think it was the right decision for me, and since it’s happened, so many other opportunities have presented themselves, so it’s reinforced it was the right idea.”
Eve was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and made her debut back in 1999 as the lone female signing act to Ruff Ryders Entertainment, an imprint to Interscope Records. Eve has recorded four albums and has performed alongside top acts such DMX, The Roots, Dr. Dre, The Lox, Swizz Beats and Gwen Stefani among many others and has starred on her own self-titled comedy television series Eve which aired on the UPN (Now The CW) Network for three seasons. She has also appeared in films such as Barbershop, Barbershop 2: Back in Business and Barbershop: The Next Cut. 

Eve is also married to British entrepreneur Maxmillion Cooper.
