Filming is currently underway on the 14th season of the NBC police drama television series Chicago PD. The Dick Wolf created series which stars Jason Beghe, John Seda, Sophia Bush, Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick Flueger and Marina Squerciati follows the uniformed patrol officers and the Intelligence Unit of the 21st District of the Chicago Police Department as they pursue the perpetrators of the city’s major street offenses. In March 2026, the series was renewed for a fourteenth season, which premiered on October 7, 2026
Filming takes place in the Chicago, Ill area. A casting call has gone out seeking various types to work on the series as paid background talent, standins, and possible featured talent. At the present time the casting director is currently seeking the following:
- Dancers, Theatre Performers and People with choreography or stage combat experience. Open to any gender, any ethnicity, ages late 20s-early 40s. Women: Cannot have long or painted nails. Men: Facial hair is okay, but it must be very short and neatly groomed. To submit, use the email subject line CHOREOGRAPHY TRAINED.
- General Background Extras – The casting director is currently seeking collecting submissions for Episode 14009 of Chicago PD filming dates between Monday 10/19 and Wednesday 10/28.Any ethnicity, Ages 16+ who live in the Chicagoland area. FOR GENERAL SUBMISSIONS: PLEASE USE THE GOOGLE FORM BELOW. They open every email submission and manually transfer your info and availability to a spreadsheet, so we strongly encourage you to use the form instead of emailing your submission. If you receive an error message, please try the following troubleshooting tips:

- General background roles pay $136.40/8. The pay rate is a flat rate for any time worked up to 8 hours (it is not an hourly rate), with time + 1/2 after 8 hours. If we book you with your vehicle to be parked on set, there will be a $35 bump added to your pay.
