Production is currently underway on the upcoming Netflix new drama series ‘Unaccustomed Earth‘. The series will star Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire, Mr. Malcolm’s List) who has been set to lead the 8-episode series. Pinto will play Parul Chaudhury in the 8-episode series from showrunner, writer, and executive producer Madhuri Shekar (3 Body Problem, The Nevers). According to Deadline, Unaccustomed Earth is an epic, soapy, and culturally vibrant drama about a tight-knit Indian American community navigating love, desire, and belonging. Rich with nuance, passion, and unforgettable characters, the series invites you into the elite and insular Indian-American community of Cambridge, MA. John Wells (The Pitt, Shameless) will executive produce.
Filming is set to take place in around the New York City from September through Jnuary 2026. The casting director is currently seeking the following to work on the series as paid background exras, standins and possible day players.
