Production is currently underway on the upcoming in-die comedy feature “Re-Election”. The feature stars Tony Danza, Adam Saunders and Bex Taylor-Klaus. According to Deadline, the project tells the story of Jimmy (Saunders), a 42-year-old man-child whose life hasn’t progressed since losing the election for senior class president 25 years prior to the now current Governor of Texas. Frustrated with his circumstances, Jimmy decides to re-enroll in high school and run for class president again. But once he leaves the safe confines of his dad’s memorabilia store and attempts to join the TikTok-fueled pace of Gen Z, Jimmy quickly realizes he has a whole lot more to learn than just the proper use of gender pronouns.
Filming will be taking place in and around the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area between the end of May and the end of June. The casting director is currently seeking all genders, ages 18+ to work on the feature as paid background and possible featured talent. All roles are paid. At the present time they are currently seeking the following:
- GENERAL EXTRAS – If you identify as LGBTQ or Non-binary. If you are a Gym Rat, Influencer, K-POP fan, Anime fan, or gamers and is over the age of 18 they want you! - MOM TYPE – Seeking Caucasian/Hispanic BG female in her 30’s/40’s who can come photograph as Jimmy’s Mom next week, and then art will use her image for an 80’s style composite family portrait of the Bauer family. Looking for someone who has an 80’s look, either really curly hair or a perm, etc. or can and knows how to tease hair out to give that 80s vibe. Please put “JIMMY’S MOM” in email subject line.
- HIGH SCHOOL BULLIES – Seeking Caucasian Males/Females, Ages 18-early 20’s to portray high school bullies. Must be AVAIL ALL DATES with zero obligations for filming: 5/31, 6/14, 6/19(revised date), 6/21 and 6/26! Please put “BULLIES” in email subject line.
- MANISH – Seeking Indian-Male to portray a high-school version of young manish. Works WED, MAY 31. The director will select this role.
