Production is currently underway on the upcoming Francis Ford Coppola directed feature film “Megalopolis”. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the project is being described as the long awaited passion project of Francis Ford Coppola, the legendary director of the Godfather Trilogy and Apocalypse Now. It is said the feature is a Roman epic set in modern times, and was written by Coppola himself and has been in the works for decades.
Set to star in the feature as Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburn, Chloe Fineman, D.B Sweeney, Dustin Hoffman, Bailey Ives, Forest Whitaker, Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel, Talia Shire, Shia LaBeouf, Jason Schwartzman, Grace Vanderwaal, Kathryn Hunter, Aubrey Plaza, Madeleine Gardella and James Remar. The story is set to follow the fate of Rome haunting a modern world unable to solve its own social problems in this epic story of political ambition, genius, and conflicted love. Coppola is independently producing the movie, which is budgeted at just under $100 million.
Filming is currently taking place in and around the Atlanta, GA area. At the present time the casting director is seeking the following to work on the feature as paid background extras, standins, photo doubles and possible featured talent:
