A casting search is now being conducted seeking a younger actor to play the role of a young Prince William in the Netflix series “The Crown“. The Crown is a historical drama television series about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II from her wedding in 1947 to Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, until the early 21st century. The series created and principally written by Peter Morgan and produced by Left Bank Pictures and Sont Pictures Television for Netflix.
The Crown Season 5 will premiere in November 2022 on the streaming platform. The upcoming season is expected to depict Charles and Diana’s divorce and Diana’s death in 1997. Season 6 will likely cover the life of the royal family in the early 2000s, which would allow for the roles of William and Harry to be more prominent. Imelda Stauntonwill play Queen Elizabeth II in Seasons 5 and 6
Filming on the 6th season will commence in September. The casting director is currently seeking a young actor for the following role.
Seeking:
- YOUNG PRINCE WILLIAM – Caucasian, Age 16 to 21. No previous acting experience required. Please see photograph below for Prince William as a reference of look they are searching for.
