A casting call has gone out seeking various types to work as background actors on the upcoming Netflix feature “Pain Hustlers” starring Emily Blunt and Chris Evans. The movie is set to be loosely based on a 2018 New York Times interactive article called The Pain Hustlers. Blunt will play Liza Drake, a single mother, who starts her own company and after its success, finds herself at the center of a criminal conspiracy with deadly consequences.
According to Deadline, Lawrence Grey is producing Pain Hustlers under his Grey Matter Productions banner alongside Yates and Yvonne Walcott Yates’ Wychwood Pictures. Lewis Taylor and Ben Everard are EPs, with Cyrus Mojibi, Patrick Wade, Lawrence Kao and Lloyd Everard serving as co-produce.
Production is scheduled to begin in late August and will film in and around the Atlanta and Savannah, GA areas. At the present time the casting director is seeking the following to work on the feature as paid background actors and possible featured talent:
- MIDWIFE – Seeking a real MIDWIFE with experience. Needed MONDAY OCT. 17TH. Please put “MIDWIFE” in email subject line.
- TODDLER TWINS – Seeking 2 to 3 year old Caucasian TODDLER TWINS. In the film, the twins will play the same toddler of an Actress who is Caucasian with blonde hair. Works OCTOBER 18TH. Please put “TODDLER TWINS” in email subject line.
- MISSING TEETH – Seeking people, Ages 18+ who can visibly represent someone missing teeth. Please submit photos with missing teeth and put “MISSING TEETH in email subject line.
