Production is currently underway on the third and final season of the drama tv series Wu Tang: An American Saga. The series which was created by RZA and Alex Tse which premiered on September 4, 2019, on Hulu. The series stars Erika Alexander, Ashton Sanders, Dave East, Shameik Moore, Siddiq Saunderson, Zolee Griggs, Julian Elijah Martinez, Marcus Callender, Joey BadA$$, Johnell Xavier Young and Bokeem Woodbine.
The show portrays a fictionalized account of the formation of top-selling 90’s hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan. The story depicts how it all came together for the clan as Diggs unites a dozen young black men who are torn between music and crime. In January 2020, the series was renewed for a second season which premiered on September 8, 2021. In November 2021, the series was renewed for a third and final season. Filming is taking place in and around the NYC area and the casting director is currently seeking the following to work on the series as paid background talent, standins and possible featured talent:
- ROCK N’ROLL TYPES – Seeking talent with long hair, mohawks, dreads, bleached or colored hair, piercings and tattoos to portray 90s rock concert goers. WORK DATES: TUE 8.16, WED 8.17, THUR 8.18 & FRI 8.19, must be free all days and filming some late mornings/afternoon starts into evening with Friday being an overnight in the New Jersey area. They will have parking as well as Buses to/from Manhattan to set. COVID Test 8/15. You would be required to follow covid-19 protocol and wear a mask at all times and follow social distancing.
