Production is currently underway on the upcoming ‘untitled’ Netflix horror thriller to be directed by Lee Daniels. The feature is based on the Ammons case, also known under the working title “200 Demons House,” a famous alleged haunting and demonic possession that occurred from 2011 to 2012 in Gary, Ind. Latoya Ammons, her mother, and her three children moved into a house where they claimed to experience a number of supernatural events, which eventually led to some of the family members undergoing exorcisms. The family claimed the events stopped after they left the house and moved to Indianapolis. The case became noteworthy as one of the few examples of an alleged haunting affecting a Black family.
Set to star in the film are Glenn Close, Rob Morgan. Caleb McLaughlin, Tasha Smith and Aunjanue Ellis. Also joining the cast is Academy Award winner Mo’Nique who will reunite for the first time since the 2009 film Precious.
Filming will take place in around the Pittsburgh, PA area from early June through August. An open casting call has been announced and the casting director is currently seeking the following to work on the film as paid background, standins and possible featured talent:

Following CDC guidelines, the protocol for ages 5-11 years old is the primary series is required, no booster. Ages 12 and up, the primary series plus booster is required. In order to be considered fully vaccinated, you need to be 14 days past your second immunization and less than 5 months from the booster (if you do not have the Booster). For all roles being filled by a minor (anyone under 18 years old), their on-set parent or guardian must be fully vaccinated. **
