A casting call has gone out seeking children and adults to work on the feature film “Cha Cha Real Smooth” starring Dakota Johnson. The movie from writer-director Cooper Raiff who will also star alongside Dakota Johnson (“Fifty Shades of Grey”), in which the story follows a guy (Raiff) who takes a job as a bar mitzvah party starter that gets the young crowd dancing and having fun — that strikes up a friendship with a young mother (Johnson) and her autistic daughter.
Filming is taking place in the Tarentum and Pittsburgh, PA area on weekdays between Aug. 12 and Sept. 11, 2021 to which Lawrenceville-based Nancy Mosser Casting posted on Friday on Facebook sending out a casting call for paid core extras to work on the feature. At the present time they are currently seeking the following:
- BRUNETTE FEMALE STANDIN – Seeking Brunette, Female ages 18-30. 5’4-5’5. Must have a vehicle to get to set and testing. Works 8/20 & 8/23. Must have complete availability for both days. Please put Brunette in your email subject line. COVID Testing will be next Wednesday (8/18) as arranged by the Health and Safety Department.
- GENERAL EXTRAS– Seeking Boys and Girls Ages 10 to 14 years old and Adults Ages 18+ to portray bar and bar mitzvah guests. COVID testing is mandatory. Covid tests are required regardless of vaccination status. A guardian must be present at all times for child actors, but siblings who aren’t working are not allowed on set. Current filming dates are 8/13, 8/16, 8/17, 8/18, 8/19, 9/1, 9/2, 9/10, 9/11 but it’s possible for things to change so flexibility is great. Scenes will have atmospheric smoke. Kids must be able to miss school!! A Studio Teacher will be on-set for their school work. A Guardian must be present at all times and no other siblings are allowed who aren’t booked to work. Guardian will also have to test. Please put “Core Mitzvah” in email subject line.

4. Sizes for Men/Boys – Height, Weight, Suit/Chest, Neck, Sleeve, Waist, Inseam and Shoe (If still in Child sizes, Shirt and Pant)
5. Sizes for Women/Girls – Height, Weight, Dress/Pant, Bust, Cup and Shoe (If still in Child sizes, Shirt and Pant)
6. Do you have any big conflicts between 8/12-9/11?
7. If submitting for a child, Do you understand they’d have to miss school?
8. List Vaccination status of everyone submitting (Copy of card may be requested)
