A casting call has gone out seeking various types to work on the upcoming historical-drama series The Gilded Age developed by Downton Abbey creator creator Julian Fellowes for HBO. The story is set in America during the Gilded Age, the millionaire titan boom of the 1880’s in New York City. Set to star are Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Denee Benton, Simon Jones, Louisa Jacobson, Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Thomas Cocquerel, and Jack Gilpin.

Filming is taking place in and around the New York City area. The casting directors are seeking locals for paid extra work for scenes that will film in Troy, NY beginning in May and June 2021. This is a period-piece drama so there will be a required fitting prior to work dates, You must have open availability and flexibility.

At the present time the following is being sought:

General Extras – SAG-AFTRA/NONUNION Men and Women, ages 18+ local to the Troy/Albany/Schenectady NY preferred. No acting experience required. Women no hair colors or highlights – natural looks only. Needed for scenes set in 1881. Please put “TROY” in your email subject line.

Mandatory paid COVID testing is required and provided by production before work. Masks must be worn at all times when not on camera. Must be okay with close proximity to other actors when shooting. Must be lawfully able to work in the U.S.
