Filming is currently underway on the 8th season of the NBC police drama television series Chicago PD. The Dick Wolf created series which stars Jason Beghe, John Seda, Sophia Bush, Jesse Lee Soffer, and LaRoyce Hawkins, follows the uniformed patrol officers and the Intelligence Unit of the 21st District of the Chicago Police Department as they pursue the perpetrators of the city’s major street offenses. The seventh season premiered on September 25, 2019. On February 27, 2020, NBC renewed the series for an eighth, ninth and tenth season.
The eighth season is set to premiere on November 11, 2020. Filming takes place in the Chicago, Ill area. A casting call has gone out seeking various types to work on the series as paid background talent, standins, and possible featured talent. With new protocols in place due to the COVID-19 health crisis there is pre-employment testing that MUST take place before sign on. At the present time the casting director is currently seeking the following:
- SKATEBOARDER – Seeking Hispanic/Latino male skateboarders, Age 12- 14 years old. Must have good skateboard skills. They are looking for someone with experience. Please take a short video of your child riding on a skateboard, demonstrating a few tricks if they are comfortable doing so. Works 11/19. COVID testing 11/13. Wardrobe fitting 11/16. - “THE EXCHANGE” – Seeking Caucasian male, “cop type” roughly 35-45 years of age to play a dead body. This role will require multiple days for pre-employment testing, a wardrobe fitting and filming. Must have open availability and be flexible. There may be a taped audition or Zoom meeting with the director prior to final selection process. Works 11/17 and 11/18, other required dates could be anywhere between 11/9 and 11/21. Please put “The Exchange” in the email subject line.
- “DEALERS CHOICE” – Seeking Hispanic/Latino males, roughly 20’s-early 30’s to play a featured drug dealer and his crew. This role will require multiple days for pre-employment testing, wardrobe fitting ad filming. Open availability and flexibility are a must. Filming dates are TBD; should have open availability between 11/9 and 11/28. Please put “Dealer’s Choice” in the email subject line.
- “ON BED REST” – Seeking Caucasian males, approximately 50s – 60s to play a father in hospital bed. This role will require multiple days for pre-employment testing, wardrobe fitting ad filming. Open availability and flexibility are a must. Filming dates are TBD; should have open availability between 11/9 and 11/28. Please put “On Bed Rest” in the email subject line.
