Production is currently underway on the sixth and final season of the FOX hit musical-drama series, Empire. The show centers on a fictional hip hop music and entertainment company, Empire Entertainment, and the drama among the members of the founders’ family as they fight for control of it. The series stars Academy Award nominated actors Taraji P. Henson and Terrance Howard. On April 30, 2019, Fox renewed the show for a sixth and final season. It will premiere on September 24, 2019. Season 5 premiered on September 26, 2018. Although, the series is set in New York, the show films in Chicago, IIl.
The casting director is currently seeking non-union talent to play the following:
- PEDESTRIANS – Seeking Men and Women, Any ethnicity, Ages 21-45, with vehicles 1994 or earlier to play pedestrians. NO RED OR WHITE VEHICLES. Works October 18th.
- REAL BARBER – Seeking Male, African American, ages: 55+, MUST BE A REAL BARBER- please tell them your experience. Works 8/22.
- CHURCH GOERS – Seeking Male/ Female, Any Ethnicity, All types, Age 20’S-60’s. Works 8/28.

3) You must go into your POP Profile via a computer, and upload your New Yorker photo.
4) Update your current measurements – Chest/Jacket, Pants, Neck/Sleeve, Dress and Shoe – the wardrobe department is asking to see sizes of many of the roles because you will need to fit a costume/uniform. As well, even if you bring clothes for a role, they want to know the sizes of the extras on set.
5) Confirm which date you are submitting for and that are available all day.
