Production is currently underway on the fifth season of the FOX hit musical-drama series, Empire. The show centers on a fictional hip hop music and entertainment company, Empire Entertainment, and the drama among the members of the founders’ family as they fight for control of it. The series stars Academy Award nominated actors Taraji P. Henson and Terrance Howard. On May 2, 2018, Fox renewed the series for a fifth season with Brett Mahoney taking over as showrunner from IIene Chaiken. Season 5 is set to premiere on September 26, 2018. Although, the series is set in New York, the show films in Chicago, IIl.
The casting director is currently seeking non-union talent to play the following:
- HOTEL SECURITY GUARD – Seeking MALE, AGES 25-45, LATINO, MILITARY LOOK AND BEARING, real military or cop preferred. Works 11/12.
- DJ – Seeking Male, AGES 20-30, any ethnicity, trendy, hip look, urban, stylish, musician type, funky hair, tattoos, etc. must be a real DJ. Works Tues. 10/23, Wed. 10/24, Thurs. 10/25 – must be available all 3 days.
