An open casting call has gone out for the upcoming comedy feature film, The Beach Bum. The story follows the msadventures of Moondog, a rebellious an lovable rouge who lives life large by his own rules. Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey is set to star. Le Grisbi Productions’ John Lesher (Birdman), Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin (Spotlight) and Iconoclast’s Charles-Marie Anthonioz, Mourad Belkeddar and Nicolas Lhermitte will produce. The flick which also co-stars Snoop Dogg if you can believe it is being shot in Miami, FL and two weeks in Key West.
Producers are hosting an upcoming, open casting call for extras of all ages and races who may have a line (or two or three) to ride on buses; appear in courtroom scenes and hospitals; motel guests; and customers going in and out of a gas station.
Interested? They are also looking for upscale “Palm Beach types” and hipsters; children; beach bums and “touristy looking” people; and a “scrawny” motel clerk.
