Casting Equity Dancers for Broadway’s ‘Moulin Rouge’

A casting call has gone out seeking equity dancers for the upcoming Boston production of Broadway’s Moulin Rouge! The Musical.  The world premiere pre-Broadway engagement of Moulin Rouge! The Musicalthe new stage show based on Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 motion picture, will reopen Boston’s newly restored Emerson Colonial Theatre in the summer of 2018.

  • MALE ENSEMBLE – Characters are 20s to 30s. Seeking extremely strong dancer/singers to play various roles, including patrons and performers at the Moulin Rouge & the denizens of Montmartre.
  • FEMALE ENSEMBLE – Characters are 20s to 30s. Seeking extremely strong dancer/singers to play various roles, including patrons and performers at the Moulin Rouge & the denizens of Montmartre.

     

Time & Date:  Monday, February 12, 2018  beginning 10:00 AM for Female Dancers ~AND~ 2:00 for Male dancers.

The call will require an extensive amount of dancing which demands technical skill, style and athleticism. Please wear character shoes, boots or heels that you are comfortable doing heavy dancing in. Bring picture and resume.
